ARC●PEACE
Copenhagen
April 12 2012 - April 15 2012
All members and sympathizers of ARC●PEACE are welcome to the 17th General Assembly meeting of our organisation in Copenhagen. This event marks the 25th anniversary of the founding of ARC●PEACE. At the meeting you will learn to know new members, enjoy seminar presentations, exchange experiences, discuss current professional issues, and take wise decisi- ons about the future of our organisation.
The ARC●PEACE meeting is connected to the General Assembly (GA) meeting of Architecture Sans Frontières–International (ASF-Int, of which ARC●PEACE is a member).
Two distinguished architects have accepted to give keynote addresses in connection with the meeting. One of them is Tom Woolley, Visiting Professor of Architecture at the University of Central Lancashire and a pioneer of sustainable architecture in the UK. The other is Graeme Bristol of the Centre for Architecture and Human Rights in Bangkok, Thailand (and former founder of Designers for Social Responsibility, Canada). Both speakers are new members of the Board of ARC●PEACE. Our new UN representative Paul Broches is expected to inform us about his work in New York and give us a chance to discuss how our consultative status can best be used.
Motions to the General Assembly are to be submitted one month before the meeting, i.e. no later than 12 March. Send your motions to Dick Urban Vestbro, .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
