7th Annual AHRA Research Student Symposium

The Annual AHRA Research Student Symposium provides an international platform for current graduate students in the architectural humanities to meet, present and discuss their work.
Call for Papers:
The AHRA invites proposals from current graduate students in the architectural humanities for contributions to its 7th Annual Student Research Symposium, which will take place on Friday 22nd October 2010 at the School of Architecture, University of Sheffield. Proposals for papers in any area of the architectural humanities are welcome, including culture, theory and design. Papers will be 20 minutes long. The symposium will conclude with a keynote presentation, ‘The Contingent Researcher,’ by Professor Jeremy Till (Westminster). The symposium will be free to attend.
Proposals for papers should be a maximum of 500 words, and should be sent by email headed 'AHRA PG' to Stephen Walker at the School of Architecture: .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)
The deadline is Friday 11th June 2010, and it is hoped that we will be able to advise successful candidates within a month from that date.
The refereeing panel will comprise the Humanities group at Sheffield [Peter Blundell Jones, Cristina Ceruli, Florian Kossak, Jo Lintonbon, Doina Petrescu, Flora Samuel, Tatjana Schneider, Renata Tyszczuk, Stephen Walker] plus the following external referees: Suzanne Ewing (Edinburgh); Felipe Hernandez (Cambridge); and Teresa Stoppani (Greenwich)
